“ The wife and I have been planning on going here for awhile now and finally made it, the open door does not disappoint. The wife got the lamb burger special and loved every second of it. I got the smash burger, ham sandwich style, with the loaded fries. Everything was amazing, the burger was cooked perfectly with all the unique flavours, and the load fries amazing. Lots of outdoor seating and very pet friendly. We will 100% be coming back. ”

“ Stopped by after a hike in the mountains.. Great place with amazing food, sweet staff, and kid/pet friendly. Everything was fantastic but in comparing to other eateries, a little overpriced for what you get. $18 for a 6 oz burger in a plastic tray and drink in a clear solo cup was a little much for an outdoor casual dining experience for my opinion. $15 for a grilled cheese? Overall, it was good and I wish them the best. ”

“ I stopped in when I was in Pickens for work and could not be happier that I came here! My ham sandwich was to die for, and I am not even a really big ham person, but this was absolutely spectacular. All the arugula and apples tasted so fresh and crisp and the goat cheese just made it a thing of dreamsss! The ham was thick without being difficult to bit through and you get SO MUCH of it. Not to mention the bacon! You can tell all of the ingredients are really good quality food. I also had the sweet potato fries which were crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside and made for the perfect side. The atmosphere is perfect to hang out and relax and there are heaters so don’t worry when it starts to get cold. The server at the bar explained that you order everything up there which makes it easy to get refills or anything else you need. Then you just pick a table inside the building (open doors) or outside and you can just hang out and relax! I am trying to find reason to go back to Pickens just so I can come here again, but quite frankly, this place is reason enough! ”

“ We sat outside and enjoyed the "mile high" Buffalo Chicken Sandwich! The bacon was cooked to perfection. I don't like thick fries so ordered the house-made chips instead. I somehow ended up with both and both were delicious. The blue cheese and the ranch were some of the best I've ever had. I also echo the previous reviewer who mentioned to the hospitality and personal attention we received from the moment we stepped in the door. We'll definitely be back. ”

“ Simply Amazing!!!! The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was massive and juicy! Owner is very friendly and interacts with customer which is a Big plus! Servers are kind and attentive! A must visit! We definitely will be back!! ”

“ Lamb burger and smash burgers were very good. Fresh salads. The ordering of food was a little awkward. You go to counter and look at menu and then order and pay. Get your own drinks, salt and pepper, silverware. Clear your table, etc. Menu was a bit pricey for lunch. Burger and fries and a drink runs $20. Atmosphere is an open garage style with roll up glass doors all the way around. There was a stage area but no live music while we were there. ”

The tomato soup not only tastes amazing but is also presented beautifully. The pretzels are massive and superb. Crispy outside with a soft and light inside, served with the Bee Well honey mustard for dipping. In short, the Open Door never disappoints. ”
